My dearest friend Harold asked me to write a testimonial for his newest project. Where to begin… I could write a book about what an amazing individual he is. His honesty and integrity are his most admirable qualities but he is also an extremely talented, introspective, caring, loyal, intelligent, ray of light. I am extremely fortunate to call him my friend and I look forward to the realization of a dream for him. He certainly deserves it.

I would like to say that I've known Harold Morales for 20 years... he is a highly respected friend of whom I have always had great admiration for in his determination to overcome what has tried to bring him down. He has always found a positive in a negative and by his will to live; he has risen to new challenges and new ways to keep himself mobile as a person. He has always been a major inspiration to me and anyone else in his presence. I highly encourage anyone with or without these conditions in life to look upon Harold with support and encouragement and in return, you will receive some major inspiration to overcome almost anything.

We were rockers once… and young. Voyeur Dire, the first band I ever believed in and had the privilege to play the drums along side my friend and bass player Harold Morales. Let’s just say we did everything heavy metal rockers would do and then some. Ray Charles even gave us a wink once. There’s a bond that the rhythm section forges, a band of brothers if you will. Harold was the level headed one in the band. If there were a musical impasse, he would make his point without drama or my way or the highway attitude. It was shortly after the band moved from Phoenix to Los Angeles in the fall of 1985 that Harold noticed his bass playing wasn’t quite the same. He had trouble plucking the strings of the bass and soon found himself at UCLA Medical Center undergoing biopsies, poking and prodding to figure out what was affecting his muscle control. Later that year he reluctantly moved back to Phoenix and I’ve missed my friend ever since. Fast-forward twenty plus years and he is still fighting this rare condition we now know as MMN. Harold’s research study and the progress that will transpire from it will be a guiding force to shed light on this autoimmune disorder. Please join me in supporting his efforts. My wish is to play music with Harold at our reunion gig in 2010, together on stage once again. Harold’s courage and fortitude is something that we can all be proud of and I love and respect him for it. As one of my favorite movies stated, “Get busy living or get busy dying, that's goddamn right… a free man at the start of a long journey, whose conclusion is uncertain… I hope to see my friend and shake his hand; I hope the pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams... I hope...”
